Bradley Wiggins is just one of the ‘many’ famous people from Chorley. He has become something of a local legend after his Olympic successes and his Tour de France success.

He has won 7 Olympic medals in total and aims to win a few more in Rio 2016. Prior to his 2012 Olympic¬†appearance Bradley Wiggins managed to win the Tour de France¬†making him the first ever British man to win the prestigious title. It was expected that Bradley Wiggins would aim to retain his title during the 2013 Tour de France but it is looking likely that he will act as wingman for Chris Froome (this year’s runner up). It is also expected that he is to concentrate more on the Giro d’Italia cycling race (perhaps aiming to collect all of cycling’s biggest titles-good on him).

It isn’t rare to see Bradley Wiggins cycling around the Rivington area, and who can blame him when he has such a great area to cycle around.
