Great Hill, Chorley

Type: Walk

Distance: 4 Miles

Time Taken: 2 Hours

Difficulty: Easy-Intermediate

Author: Ashle Whittle

I did this walk on a sunny Sunday Morning with my 7 year old son, Ethan.

We started off from White Coppice (Cricket Field)

White Coppice Cricket Field

We then decided to make the walk interesting and followed the water falls/river up the valley,

River up to Great Hill

Then part way up here we took the high road up to Joe’s Cup, then followed the Path to the top of Great Hill.

Fantastic views and a shelter point on the top.

From her you have the option to carry on to Winter Hill or Darwin Tower, or you can drop down to White Coppice or Brinscal

We just took the same route back down, very pleasant walk with nice views.
