If you head up Rawlinson Lane in Adlington you will come onto Bolton Road, if you turn right and continue going for a hundred metres or so there will be a turning on your left which takes you to a farm which I believe to be called Gregory’s Farm. Although it doesn’t look like it, there is actually a public footpath running through the farm which takes you up by Chorley Golf Course. If you like Geocaching there are also a few to be found around this area:

The farm is lived in by a fairly friendly farmer and his herd of goats, he usually seems happy to talk and seems to know a lot about the local area. The farm itself is really worth a visit, although not a tourist attraction it is definitely worth editing walking routes so that you can pass through it. The footpath is lined at the sides with old/decaying cars and bits of farming machinery and the stone barn which is currently inhabited by the goats could be made into an amazing house with a lot of time, work and money. I know this may not sound like much but it is honestly worth walking through if you have never been before.
