Rivington Hall Barn is said to have dated back to the 16th Century when it would have been used as an Anglo-Saxon barn. The land itself was owned by the Pilkington family between 1202 and 1605, it was owned by families such as the Cromptons and the Levers until it was sold to William-Hesketh Lever (Lord Leverhulme) in 1900. In 1953 the barn was purchased by the family whop still own the barn today. The barn has now become a great place to get something to eat or drink whilst you are up Rivington way.
